The Medical University of Lublin is a public medical university in Lublin, eastern Poland. It began in 1944 as the medical faculty of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, became the independent Medical Academy in 1950 and received university status and its current name in 2008. For 2026/2027 it teaches Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing and Midwifery in English.

Two programmes matter here. Medicine at the Medical University of Lublin lasts six years (12 semesters, 360 ECTS) and leads to the MD title (lekarz). Dentistry lasts five years (10 semesters, 300 ECTS) and leads to the DDS title (lekarz-dentysta). According to the university's admission website for 2026/2027, the English-taught tracks are open to candidates who are not Polish citizens.

The USA. Mostar School of Medicine in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the only European university that specifically prepares students for the USMLE, both Step 1 (preclinical) and Step 2 CK (clinical). Teaching happens in small groups, with a better teacher-to-student ratio than other European medical schools, and there are only 30 places per year.
