At which universities in Poland do German-speaking students study medicine?

Poland has around a dozen medical faculties with English-language programs. We support students at the following locations and also arrange transfers from them:

Admission is based on entrance exams or selection interviews — not on school-leaving grades; tuition fees range from approximately 12,000 to 16,000 EUR per academic year depending on the university.

Why do students transfer out of Poland?

One subject becomes a bottleneck

Polish curricula are strictly sequential: without passing anatomy or physiology, you cannot progress to the next year of study. Those who get stuck often lose a full year — not just a semester. At that point, a sober look at the alternative makes sense: take your passed credits with you and continue at a university whose pace fits better.

The location doesn't fit

Large cohorts, little personal contact, a clinical environment that international students find difficult to break into — for some this is no problem, for others it becomes crushing over six years.

The finances no longer add up

At 12,000 to 16,000 EUR per academic year, the total cost of the degree reaches six figures. When family circumstances change, a location at 3,500 EUR per year is the logical consequence.

How does the study transfer from Poland work?

1. Review your documents. Transcript of Records with ECTS credits and grades plus enrollment confirmation. Free of charge and non-binding.
2. Determine the target year. We compare your achievements against the target university's curriculum before anything is submitted.
3. Reserve a place. Places in higher years are allocated in order of receipt of complete documents.
4. Recognition procedure. The target university formally recognizes your credits; we assist with translations and certifications.
5. Enroll and continue studying. De-registering from your Polish university is the final step.

Where can you transfer from Poland?

University of East Sarajevo, Faculty of Medicine Foča (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

One of our core locations, for which we hold the representation in the German-speaking world. State faculty with its own university hospital, medicine and dentistry in English, listed in ANABIN, accredited in compliance with EU standards until 2033. 3,500 EUR per academic year, intake in November, with the option to complete the practical year entirely at a German teaching hospital. University of Niš, Faculty of Medicine (Serbia)

Large state university with its own university hospital, medicine in English, 360 ECTS, degree: MD. 1,500 EUR per quarter, i.e. 6,000 EUR per academic year. To the Niš location article.

MediCampus Europeo, Malta

Campus in Il-Furjana near Valletta, medicine in English, Maltese MFHEA license, clinical section from the third year onward. Transfer from the second year onward, 14,500 EUR per year with a single payment. To the Valletta location article.

The placement year depends on the individual case

All paths described here are designed to achieve the highest possible year placement for you through us — with no or minimal loss of time. However, this only becomes binding after your documents have been reviewed. As a general rule: no more than two open exams whose ECTS credits do not exceed a certain ceiling — that is typically what allows a transfer into the next higher year. What the transfer means financially

Poland charges around 12,000 to 16,000 EUR per academic year. Foča costs 3,500 EUR, Niš 6,000 EUR. Someone transferring in the third year saves roughly 34,000 to 50,000 EUR in tuition fees over the remaining four years at Foča, plus lower living costs of 450 to 500 EUR per month. Our placement fee is success-based.
