Das Medizinstudium an der Caucasus University dauert sechs Jahre und gliedert sich in zwei vorklinische und vier klinische Jahre. In den ersten beiden Semestern stehen Grundlagenfächer wie Anatomie, Biochemie, Physiologie und Histologie im Vordergrund — alles auf Englisch und nach einem klar strukturierten Stundenplan.
Ab dem dritten Jahr beginnt die klinische Phase mit Rotationen durch verschiedene Fachbereiche in kooperierenden Krankenhäusern in Tiflis. Du sammelst praktische Erfahrung in Innerer Medizin, Chirurgie, Gynäkologie, Pädiatrie und weiteren Disziplinen unter Begleitung erfahrener Ärzte.
Nach erfolgreichem Abschluss erhältst du den Titel MD (Doctor of Medicine). Wer anschließend in Deutschland als Arzt arbeiten möchte, muss die Kenntnispruefung ablegen — das ist gesetzlich vorgeschrieben, weil Georgien kein EU-Mitglied ist und der Abschluss deshalb nicht automatisch anerkannt wird.
