Γιατί οι διεθνείς φοιτητές σπουδάζουν εδώ
Albania has become one of the most attractive destinations in the Western Balkans for international medical students. In Tirana you study Medicine, Dentistry or Pharmacy in English, at tuition fees well below Western Europe, in a country that is steadily moving closer to the European Union.
English-taught programmes in the capital
Western Balkans University, our partner university in Tirana, teaches Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy entirely in English. The Catholic University Our Lady of Good Counsel offers an English-taught track and, in parallel, an Italian-taught track run together with the University of Rome Tor Vergata that leads to a dual diploma.
No numerus clausus, no entrance test
Your school-leaving average does not decide your place. When you apply through Medschool Experts, there is no separate entrance test: a general higher-education entrance qualification is the basis, and we handle the entire application for you.
European standards at moderate costs
Albania is an EU candidate country and has been part of the Bologna Process since 2003. The six-year Medicine programme comprises 360 ECTS and follows European medical education standards. Through Medschool Experts, Medicine at Western Balkans University costs from €10,800 per year with the early-bird price, and living costs in Tirana are around €450–700 per month.
A city that is easy to live in
Tirana is young, lively and well connected: the international airport offers direct flights to many European cities, and the Adriatic coast is less than an hour away.

Σπουδές και καθημερινή ζωή επιτόπου
The Medicine programme is divided into a preclinical phase with the biomedical foundations and a clinical phase with rotations at hospitals in Tirana, introduced step by step from year three. Year groups are small, and contact with lecturers is correspondingly close. Teaching is in English or Italian; basic Albanian is helpful for patient contact in the clinical years.
Tirana has around 800,000 inhabitants and has changed rapidly in recent years: renovated squares, a lively café and restaurant scene and a young population make it easy to settle in. Accommodation, food and transport are affordable. The Adriatic coast is close for weekend trips, and the mountains inland offer outstanding hiking.
