Your elective takes place in clinical settings on Antigua, in the heart of the Eastern Caribbean. As an elective student you join the ward teams, take histories, examine patients and follow cases under the supervision of local doctors and nurses.
English is the official language of Antigua and Barbuda, so communication with patients and staff is easy. Outside the hospital, beaches, English Harbour and Shirley Heights are right on your doorstep.

Ward rounds in the morning, clinics and teaching in the afternoon, optional on-call shifts in the emergency department. You rotate within your chosen department and can add a second one from 4 weeks.
