The phantom head is a simulation model with a movable jaw and interchangeable teeth, mounted on a real treatment unit. You practise cavity preparation, restorative treatment, crown preparation and root canal treatment.
At smaller faculties with groups of around ten students, there is considerably more time at the phantom workstation than at large universities — in a hands-on subject, that makes a real difference.
