Which medical faculties exist in the Czech Republic?

Palacký University Olomouc also belongs to this group. None of these faculties select by school-leaving grades. Tuition fees range from approximately 12,000 to 16,000 EUR per academic year depending on the faculty. Why do students transfer out of the Czech Republic?

The exam pace doesn't fit

Czech faculties work with oral exams and a dense exam schedule. If you fail a subject, you often cannot complete the academic year — what begins as a semester's delay quickly becomes a full year.

The location doesn't fit

Prague is expensive, cohorts are large, and integrating into clinical operations doesn't come easily to everyone. Transferring to a smaller faculty with closer supervision solves this in many cases.

The finances no longer add up

At 12,000 to 16,000 EUR in tuition per year, plus living costs in Prague, the total cost of the degree reaches well into six figures. A location at 3,500 EUR per year changes this calculation fundamentally.

How do you find the right university — and get in?

This is the part we deliberately do not turn into a checklist. What a university wants to see, and how far along it will take you, differs from faculty to faculty and is rewritten every year. A list published in an article would be out of date before you could act on it — and it would tell you nothing about where you would be accepted.

So the sequence runs the other way round. You send us your profile: what you have studied so far, what you have already passed, and which countries you would consider. We read it the way the receiving university reads it, check it against our partner universities, and come back to you with the places where we can get you in reliably — which university, in which country, and at what cost.

Because you already carry completed study with you, we also check the highest possible entry point for your file. Entry in the final two years of a programme is not unusual for transfer students. Whether that applies to you is an individual question, and we answer it once we have seen your documents — not before.

Where can you transfer from the Czech Republic?

University of East Sarajevo, Faculty of Medicine Foča (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

One of our core locations, for which we hold the representation in the German-speaking world. State faculty with its own university hospital, medicine and dentistry in English, listed in ANABIN, accredited in compliance with EU standards until 2033. 3,500 EUR per academic year, with the option to complete the practical year entirely at a German teaching hospital. University of Niš, Faculty of Medicine (Serbia)

Large state university with its own university hospital, medicine in English, 360 ECTS, degree: MD. 1,500 EUR per quarter, i.e. 6,000 EUR per academic year. To the Niš location article.

Your entry year is an individual question

What the transfer means financially

The Czech Republic charges around 12,000 to 16,000 EUR per academic year. Foča costs 3,500 EUR, Niš 6,000 EUR. For someone continuing in the third year, that is roughly 34,000 to 50,000 EUR less in tuition fees over the remaining four years, plus lower living costs of 450 to 500 EUR per month.
