Study Transfer from Kyrgyzstan: from Bishkek, Osh and Kant to Europe
12.10.2026
Short answer
Your university in Kyrgyzstan failed accreditation in 2026 or you want to switch to Europe? We arrange the study transfer to Foča, Niš and Malta.
From which universities do we facilitate transfers?
From all Kyrgyz universities with English-language medical programs — including those that did not pass the state accreditation in 2026. What matters for credit recognition is your transcript of records, not the current status of your university. Which institutions are currently fully accredited is in the article Studying Medicine in Kyrgyzstan.
Why students from Kyrgyzstan transfer to Europe
The accreditation situation
Anyone enrolled at a university that is no longer permitted to train students must transfer anyway. The redistribution within the country being offered is one option — a transfer to Europe is the other, and for those who later want to work in German-speaking countries, usually the more sustainable one.
Language in the clinical phase
Classes are in English, but clinical everyday life runs in Russian and Kyrgyz. Those who notice they are only observing at the bedside lose learning time exactly where it matters most.
The recognition pathway is regulated
Kyrgyzstan belongs neither to the EU nor to the European Higher Education Area and remains a third country. Since the reform of March 2026, this is no longer a disadvantage: from November 1, 2026, the oral knowledge examination under Section 3 of the Federal Medical Licensing Act serves as the standard route to nationwide licensing. Details in the article Approbation and Recognition.
How does the study transfer work?
We handle the transfer for you. Our partner universities include Foča (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Niš (Serbia), and Malta.

Where can you transfer from Kyrgyzstan?
University of East Sarajevo, Medical Faculty Foča (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
State faculty with its own university hospital, human medicine and dentistry in English, listed in ANABIN, EU-conformally accredited until 2033. 3,500 euros per academic year, start in November, practical year optionally completed entirely at a German teaching hospital. Credit transfers here typically result in very high placement. To the Foča study guide.
MediCampus Europeo, Malta
EU location with English as official language. Campus in Il-Furjana near Valletta, Maltese MFHEA license. Transfer from the second year of study, 14,500 euros per year with lump-sum payment, start in October. To the Valletta location article.
University of Niš, Faculty of Medicine (Serbia)
Large state university with its own university hospital, human medicine in English, 360 ECTS, degree MD. 1,500 euros per quarter, i.e. 6,000 euros per academic year. To the Niš location article.
The complete list of all numerus clausus-free options in Europe can be found in the study transfer article on Bulgaria.
How high the credit placement turns out depends on the individual case
All pathways named here are designed to enable you to achieve the highest possible credit placement through us — without or with minimal time loss. This only becomes binding after your documents are reviewed. As a rule of thumb: usually at most two exams may be outstanding whose ECTS points do not exceed a certain upper limit for the transfer to the next higher year of study to be possible. What is possible in your case is clarified in the free consultation.
What the transfer means financially
Kyrgyzstan is at 3,400 to 8,000 US dollars per academic year. Foča costs 3,500 euros, Niš 6,000 euros. Depending on the starting address, the transfer is therefore price-neutral or even cheaper — the real gain lies in planning reliability. Living costs in Foča and Niš are realistically 450 to 500 euros per month. Our placement fee is success-based.
Why you should seek advice as early as possible
- Places are limited and are allocated in order of complete documentation.
- Deadlines are running: Malta starts in October, Foča in November, Niš accepts applicants quarterly.
- Documents from Central Asia require lead time. Anyone coming from a university that is no longer permitted to train students should request their transcript as early as possible.
Reviewing your documents takes a few days and costs nothing. Book a free study consultation — by phone or video appointment, feel free to include your parents.
Author's Opinion
When a university is suddenly no longer permitted to train students, this is a shock for the students — none of them are responsible for this. The good news is: the completed semesters are not lost. What counts is the transcript.
My urgent advice to everyone affected: request your documents now, while the administration is still working. Those who wait six months will end up fighting for paperwork rather than for a study place.
Summary
- Transfer to Europe is possible from all Kyrgyz universities — including those that did not pass accreditation in 2026.
- What matters is the transcript of records, not the current status of the university.
- Most common destinations: Foča (3,500 euros per year), Niš (6,000 euros), MediCampus Europeo Malta (14,500 euros).
- Initial consultation and document review are free of charge, the placement fee is success-based.
Anyone affected should request their documents immediately and seek advice.
