Programme Structure

Ten semesters in accordance with ZApprO, divided into the pre-clinical phase (four semesters, dental preliminary examination) and the clinical phase (six semesters, state examination). The phantom course and early patient work are regarded as particular strengths.

Research

Focus areas: periodontology, implantology, biomaterials. Strong links to Charité’s clinical research.

Admission & Finances

Access to the dentistry programme at Charité is via the NC. In recent years it has been 1.0 to 1.2. Allocation follows three quotas: school-leaving grade, waiting time and the university’s own selection process.

Those without a top NC or who do not wish to wait can consider NC-free dentistry study places in the EU — for example in Bulgaria, Hungary or Croatia. Medschool Experts provides free consultation on these routes.

Examination Regulations & Retakes
