A campus at American standards
The campus sits on the edge of Rome. If you picture an Italian university with old lecture halls in the city centre, UniCamillus will surprise you. It is newly built, bright and well kept, and its equipment matches what you would expect at an American university.
In the simulation labs, students practise examinations and clinical procedures on models before they work with patients. Dentistry students train in the university's own dental clinic on site, where they treat real patients under supervision. Clinical placements take place in a network of hospitals and healthcare facilities in and around Rome.

Which language is used for teaching?
Medicine at UniCamillus is offered in English and in Italian. Dentistry is taught in Italian. Many of our applicants start learning Italian before they arrive, which also helps in daily life in Rome and with Italian patients in the clinical years.
Is the degree recognised?
Italy is a member of the European Union. A medical or dental degree from UniCamillus is recognised automatically under EU Directive 2005/36/EC in every EU country, in the EEA and in Switzerland, and it is internationally recognised beyond Europe.

I visit every university in person before we place students there. In Rome I was impressed from the first minute. The campus is modern, clean and well planned, the labs are equipped the way I know from the United States, and the university team took plenty of time for us. You do not get a welcome like that everywhere.
UniCamillus is not for every budget. €10,000 per semester is a serious investment. In return you study in Rome, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, and graduate with an EU degree. For families looking for exactly that, UniCamillus is a very good choice.

Study medicine abroad: Marcel's own path
Born in Stuttgart, Marcel started his degree late: at 24 he enrolled at the Medical University of Sofia, Faculty of Dental Medicine, and graduated in 2021 from the English-language programme. He went through the same steps his clients face today — nostrification of school certificates, entrance interviews, finding a flat in Sofia and later the recognition of a foreign degree. He is a federally recognised dentist.
