The Medical University of the Americas is a private medical school in Charlestown on the island of Nevis, Saint Kitts and Nevis. It teaches one programme, the Doctor of Medicine, entirely in English. It is a four-year programme with instruction beginning in the year 2000.

The degree runs over ten terms, three of them in a normal academic year. The first twenty months are taught on the Nevis campus, followed by an eight-week research module and 72 weeks of clinical rotations in the United States and Canada. Its MD programme is accredited by the Accreditation Commission on Colleges of Medicine, which is recognised by the World Federation for Medical Education, and by the Ministry of Education of Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Set that against Foča. Tuition there is €3,500 a year, and the realistic all-in figure, tuition plus living costs, is about €7,500 a year. A student who moves after the preclinical terms changes the shape of the remaining bill entirely. There is no fixed ceiling on the entry year for students transferring from the Medical University of the Americas.
