Study medicine in the Caribbean at UHSA Antigua

UHSA teaches the basic sciences on the campus in Antigua in small groups, followed by clinical training. One year of the clinical phase can be completed at hospitals in the USA. This is where US clinical experience and letters of recommendation come from, which matter for the US residency match.

Caribbean MD and the NMC rules for India

The NMC rules for MBBS abroad ask that the whole course, training and internship take place at one foreign university and in one country. A programme with clinical rotations in the USA does not follow this pattern. So the Caribbean route is the right choice if your goal is the USA, not if you want to practise in India. If India is your goal, we recommend a six-year MBBS in Europe or Central Asia.
