Das Studium dauert sechs Jahre. Die ersten beiden Jahre sind vorklinisch mit Anatomie, Physiologie, Biochemie, Histologie und Embryologie sowie begleitendem Bulgarischunterricht. Ab dem dritten Jahr folgt der klinische Abschnitt mit Innerer Medizin, Chirurgie, Pädiatrie, Gynäkologie, Neurologie und Psychiatrie, gekoppelt an Praktika am Universitätsklinikum Plovdiv. Das sechste Jahr ist ein durchgehendes praktisches Jahr auf Station.

Das eigene Universitätsklinikum und die Simulationszentren der Medizinischen Universität Plovdiv haben dich bis dahin durch sechs Jahre praktische Ausbildung geführt. Weil die Richtlinie überall in der Europäischen Union gilt, kannst du dich später auch für eine Weiterbildung in einem anderen Mitgliedstaat entscheiden.
