Cheapest MBBS abroad: fees and total cost compared

Mostar School of MedicineBosnia and Herzegovina9,000 €from about 450 €about 86,000 €

The totals include six years of tuition and twelve months of living costs per year: rent, food, transport and phone. Flights home, visa fees and books come on top.

Our rule of thumb for parents: plan the full six years before the first payment. A university that is 1,000 € cheaper per year saves you 6,000 € in total. A city where the room costs 150 € less per month saves you almost 11,000 €. Living costs decide as much as tuition.
