The city as a place to study
Studying in Girne means living practically by the sea: from many apartments near the university, it is only 10 to 15 minutes on foot to the water, whether to the lively harbour with its restaurants or to quieter bays like Diana Beach and Acapulco Beach a little outside the centre.

Getting home is via Ercan Airport (ECN), about 41 kilometres or 40 minutes by car from Girne, and from there usually via Istanbul onward.
