Why study medicine here?
Palacký University in Olomouc is the second-oldest university in the Czech Republic, with roots going back to 1573. Its Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry offers six-year Medicine and six-year Dentistry programmes in English, taught in the historic Moravian city of Olomouc. The faculty maintains strong clinical partnerships with the Olomouc University Hospital and has a well-established tradition of educating international students. Graduates receive Czech degrees recognised throughout the European Union.

Study conditions and campus life
Both the Medicine and Dentistry programmes take six years to complete. In Medicine, the early years cover the biomedical sciences before transitioning to clinical rotations at the Olomouc University Hospital. In Dentistry, students progress from dental anatomy and oral biology to hands-on clinical practice in the faculty’s dental clinics. Graduates receive Czech degrees (MUDr. for Medicine, MDDr. for Dentistry) recognised throughout the EU.
