Recognition and career prospects

Frequently asked questions about this university
What are the entry requirements for Karls-Universität, Zweite Medizinische Fakultät in Prag?
You need a general higher-education entrance qualification (A-levels or equivalent). There is no numerus clausus, so your school-leaving grade does not determine your place. You will also need a sufficient command of English and a student visa.
How do I apply through Medschool Experts?
Medschool Experts handles placement at this location without a grade-based admission cap. Whether we can place you with your profile is something we clarify in a free, no-obligation consultation — where we also discuss which university is the best fit for you.
What does it cost to study at Karls-Universität, Zweite Medizinische Fakultät?
The tuition fee is 8,675 EUR per semester. Additional costs include the application fee, visa, health insurance, travel, and accommodation. Always ask the International Office to confirm every figure in writing — figures quoted by third-party portals can vary significantly.
How much money do I need per month in Prag?
Budget approx. 500 to 600 EUR per month for living costs. This is well below Western European levels. The exact amount depends mainly on whether you live in student accommodation or privately.
How is the programme structured and how long does it take?
The programme lasts 6 years, 360 ECTS. First comes the pre-clinical phase with the theoretical foundations, then the clinical phase with examination courses and placements at affiliated hospitals. The final year is primarily practical in focus.
Is the degree recognised in the EU?
As Czech Republic is an EU member state, medical degrees are automatically recognised across the EU under the Professional Qualifications Directive, provided graduation requirements are met. For non-EU countries you wish to practise in, confirm requirements separately.
Will I receive a transcript of records?
Yes. Your performance is recorded in a transcript showing subjects, examinations, and grades. This is exactly the document the authorities need later for the equivalence assessment. Keep all semester certificates and grade reports safely — they are difficult to obtain retrospectively.
Can I transfer to a university in my home country during my studies?
There is no automatic transfer route. A transfer to a domestic faculty involves an individual credit-recognition process and depends on available places in higher semesters. Plan your studies as a complete path to graduation.
How does Medschool Experts support you on the ground?
We organise the application and all documents, support you through enrolment, accommodation, and administrative requirements, and remain your contact after your studies begin. We also tell you upfront where the weaknesses of this particular location lie.
