In addition, there are the public universities of Sarajevo, Banja Luka and Tuzla, with predominantly instruction in the local language. Which of these places is realistically open to you, and at which point you could join, is something we look at case by case rather than in general terms.

The programmes differ considerably — fully English-language, partly in the local language, public or private. Those who find the design does not fit their plans often find the more suitable faculty within the country itself.

Costs and Structure

The tuition fees between a private university in Sarajevo and the state faculty in Foča differ by several thousand euros per year. Over six years of study, that is a significant difference.

Faculty of Medicine Foča — Transfer Within the Country

One of our core locations. State faculty with its own university hospital, human and dental medicine in English, listed in ANABIN, EU-compliant accreditation until 2033. 1,750 EUR per semester, i.e. 3,500 EUR per academic year. The practical year can optionally be completed entirely at a German teaching hospital. Since the country remains the same, the residence permit and formalities are simplest here. University of Niš, Faculty of Medicine (Serbia)

Large public university with its own university hospital, human medicine in English, 360 ECTS, MD degree. 1,500 EUR per quarter, i.e. 6,000 EUR per academic year. To the Niš location article.

MediCampus Europeo, Malta

Campus in Il-Furjana near Valletta, human medicine in English, Maltese MFHEA licence, English as official language. Entry from the second year onwards, 14,500 EUR per year with single payment. To the Valletta location article.

How High the Entry Point Turns Out Depends on the Individual Case

All the routes mentioned here are designed to give you the highest possible year placement through us — without, or with minimal, loss of time. In practice that often means entering in the later part of the programme, frequently one of the final two years. How far up it goes in your case only becomes clear once we have looked at what you have completed, and it costs nothing to find out.

What the Transfer Means Financially

Foča, at 3,500 EUR per academic year, is the most affordable location in our entire network; the private universities in Sarajevo are significantly higher. A transfer there noticeably reduces tuition fees over four remaining years of study. Living costs are realistically 450 to 500 EUR per month. Our placement fee is success-based: if no study place is secured, no costs arise for you.
