Study Medicine in Hamburg, Germany

The Hamburg campus of Universitätsmedizin Neumarkt a. M. is a branch campus of the Romanian public university UMFST Târgu Mureș and opened in October 2019. The six-year Medicine programme is taught in English; clinical training at the teaching hospitals also takes place in German. The campus covers more than 4,000 square metres, and 150 students are admitted each year. Teaching is designed for small groups. Admission is based on the university's own selection procedure.

• Medicine: The Medicine programme leads to a medical degree. The pre-clinical phase establishes the scientific foundations; the clinical phase adds patient-facing work.

The programme lasts six years. The first two years focus on the pre-clinical phase with anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, histology and embryology. From the third year, the clinical phase follows with internal medicine, surgery, paediatrics, gynaecology, neurology and psychiatry; training at the teaching hospitals also takes place in German. The final year is practical and works like a full clinical internship year. Teaching is designed for small groups, with 150 students admitted each year.
