Universidad de la Integración de las Américas (UNIDA) is a private Paraguayan university founded in 2003, with its seat in Asunción. The programme runs over six years and integrates the basic sciences with clinical practice. The clinical phase covers internal medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology and public health management, and the programme ends with supervised internships at affiliated hospitals. To graduate, students also show proficiency in Paraguay's two official languages and at least one foreign language.

Admission includes an interview with the programme coordinators, an entrance exam and a levelling course that brings all new students to the same starting point in the basic sciences. You need a completed secondary school certificate with the required legalisation. Teaching is in Spanish.
